Different types of drainage plays an important role in hydrological studies, because it helps in understanding the occurrence, distribution and movement of water as well as geological and geomorphological possible associations. This work seeks to understand, based on spatial analysis techniques, if there is relationship between drainage course patterns with geomorphology, geology and large structures of the Espírito Santo state. Within this context, it was proposed the application of cross-tabulation technique between the drainage standards map with the maps of geomorphological units, tectonics domains and geological structures, being the first and last map drawn by the author. As a result of cross tabulation it as possible to observe a close relationship between types of drainage patterns with geomorphology, geology and geological structures. It is easy to observe the relation of the parallel pattern with the geology and geomorphology of the coastal region, characterized by ternary and quaternary sedimentary deposits. The rectangular end trellis patterns have an intimate relationship with geological structures and the geomorphological units structurally controlled. The radial pattern occurs in restricted areas and with low geomorphological and geological-structural relationship. Already the patterns contorted, dendritic and subdendritic dont have relation with tectonic domain, geological structure or geomorphological units, reinforcing the fact that they follow no pattern to occur.
